Bakuchiol
What it is. A compound extracted from the seeds of Psoralea corylifolia. Chemically unrelated to retinol, but acting on many of the same collagen and cell-turnover pathways.
why it matters after 45
Retinol thins the outer layer, increases water loss, and sensitises skin to UV, costs a thinning barrier cannot easily pay. Bakuchiol has shown comparable improvements in fine lines and pigmentation with markedly less irritation, is stable in daylight, and has no pregnancy contraindication. Consistency beats potency; bakuchiol is the one you keep using.
how Enclir uses it
Paired with encapsulated vitamin C in Encap C+: bakuchiol signals collagen renewal, vitamin C protects and brightens. Bakuchiol vs retinol after 45.
