Nano-encapsulation

reviewed by Rutul Soni · dermatologist 2 min · aug 17, 2026

What it is. A delivery technology in which an active ingredient is sealed inside a lipid capsule measured in nanometres, small enough to pass through the outer skin barrier and release its contents in the target layer rather than on the surface.

why it matters

Most skincare actives never get past the barrier. They sit on top, oxidise, irritate, and wash off. Encapsulation shields the active from degradation, carries it deeper, and releases it gradually where it can act: roughly 3x deeper than the same active applied free, chemically intact on arrival, with zero acid sitting on the surface. It is why Enclir formulas work at honest percentages instead of headline ones.

where you'll find it

Every Enclir formulation. Encap S+ encapsulates salicylic acid to release only inside the inflamed follicle; Encap C+ encapsulates vitamin C so it reaches the collagen layer without oxidising. Read the plain-language explainer.
