pH 5.5 formulation
What it is. Healthy skin sits at a mildly acidic pH of roughly 4.7 to 5.75, the acid mantle that keeps the barrier intact and unfriendly to acne bacteria. Many actives, especially vitamin C serums and exfoliating acids, are formulated well below that, which is why they sting and disrupt the barrier.
why it matters
A formula matched to the skin's own pH does not fight the acid mantle. It also means two products can be layered morning and night without one undoing the other, which is the entire premise of using S+ and C+ together.
how Enclir uses it
Both Encap S+ and Encap C+ are formulated at pH 5.5, made possible because encapsulation lets the actives work without needing an aggressive surface pH to penetrate.
