Layering C+ and S+ after 45

After 45, two things tend to happen at the same time: hormonal breakouts along the jaw, and a gradual loss of firmness and density. They share a root cause — falling estrogen — so it makes sense to address both.

A simple protocol: Encap S+ morning and evening on the areas that break out, for clarity and barrier support. Encap C+ in the evening across the full face, for collagen and resilience. Both sit at pH 5.5 and neither strips, so they layer without conflict.

Start with one for two weeks to let your skin settle, then introduce the second. Pair with a gentle cleanser and daily SPF, and give it three full skin cycles — about 90 days — before you judge the result.

Educational content, not medical advice. Hormonal and menopausal acne can have multiple causes; persistent or severe acne should be assessed by a dermatologist or physician. Figures reflect published, ingredient- and population-level research; individual results vary.
